Sandy works from her home atop Mt. Point Peter in her studio overlooking Witt Springs in northwest Arkansas. Doing as many as a dozen shows per year keeps her quite busy and allows less time than she’d like to be at home working on her craft and producing artwork. At the tender age of six, her mother’s encouragement nourished her aspirations to become an artist, and she continued to do artwork in various mediums throughout her school years.
In 1985, while living in St. Thomas, she began producing wearable art for retail shops on the island and soon expanded to markets on the mainland doing business as Belly Buttons. Now, she crisscrosses the United States exhibiting her art wear at rodeos and conventions, garnering awe and admiration from people everywhere. She enjoys traveling and meeting people and shares her patron’s excitement as they don her creations with delight. |
